Probate doesn’t have to be overwhelming—we’ll guide you through it
What Is Probate?
Probate is the court process of settling a person’s estate after death—paying debts, transferring property, and honoring final wishes. In Missouri, it can take months if not handled properly.

How We Help
We assist executors, administrators, and grieving family members with:
Filing the will in probate court
Gathering and valuing assets
Notifying heirs and creditors
Paying debts and taxes
Distributing property
Resolving disputes
Preparing court-required reports
Avoiding Common Pitfalls
Mistakes can delay or complicate probate. We keep things on track and make sure everything’s filed on time—especially when emotions are running high.
Can I handle probate without a lawyer?
No. Missouri law requires that the Personal Representative (Executor) of a probate estate be represented by a lawyer.
How long does it take?
Depending on the circumstances, the administration of a probate estate of $40,000 or more can take from ten months to over a year. Small estates (under $40,000) usually take just a few months.
How do I avoid probate?
Avoiding probate requires planning in advance of your death. We use trusts, beneficiary designations, and beneficiary deeds as tools to reduce or eliminate the need for probate –all while taking into consideration the complexities of taxes.
